overall really good. i would think about dropping down to a P45 to save a bit and put that toward a 550watt Corsair PSU. not a major thing just an opinion

great job

EDIT: As groo has already made clear it's not nice to bump threads, so I'd advise not doing it in the future :D.

+1 to rammar, very nice choices overall. A couple small changes I'd make...

One is I'd change to this PCP&C 750W PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703009
The Corsair you picked is second in quality only to this one, so excellent choice. With the promo code EMCBBAEAC (the code is on the linked page if you forget it) it'll only be $5 more than the Corsair, and it has the potential to be $10 cheaper after rebate. The main advantage to it is that it exhausts the hot air out of your case rather than recirculating it like the Corsair.

The second change I'd consider making is switching the hard drive to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136218
It's only $15 more, and it's faster than the 500GB drive you chose (and has an additional 140GB).

One last thing: are you going to be overclocking? If yes, than I'd get the OEM Q6600 ($10 cheaper than the retail) and an aftermarket cooler like the
XIGMATEK HDT-S1283: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003&Tpk=S1283. If no, than stay with the retail Q6600 but change the RAM to some cheaper DDR2 800 (since you actually won't need any more than 533 to run a 1:1 FSB:RAM ratio; 1066 FSB/4=266, and 266 x 2 (DDR)=533; if that doesn't make any sense than just trust me that you don't ;)).

Again, nice job with the part choices and good luck completing the build. :sol:

Oh and the only other question is what resolution are you using? It might be worth it to switch the to HD 4870 1GB if you're running 1920x1200 or higher.
