Hello, I recently built up an i7 system.

Gigabyte UD3r mobo. I am wondering if I should get a nicer cpu cooler. Right now I am around 40-42 idle, light load. I would like to do some overclocking but I don't feel comfortable with this heatsink. Any thoughts or suggestions? Is this a normal temp? Otherwise its a very fast system. Thanks a lot.

ya it shoots to 85c with a little oc and some orthos

i7 befits greatly from better cooling - do it!

at 3.8ghz the cpu runs cool

at 4ghz you should use water

get a good cooler and turn the speed up

Thanks guys. So Idle at 42ish right now is ok? I got worried I got an extra hot processor or something...

What about the CM V8 and the Monsoon III? Both are a bit cheaper and seem to get good reviews.
