I am running Vista ultimate 64 i have a Biostar g965 micro 775 motherboard and I just bought 4 gigs of Adata pc 6400 ddr 800 ram 2x2gig
Why will this not run? both sticks work as individual and they work with another stick of supertalent ddr 800 ram. but when I get more than 4gigs in there windows will not boot up Can anyone help me with this

What exactly happens when you turn on the system? Also, if you haven't already, download the free bootable CD image of memtest86+, burn it as a CD, and boot from that to test your memory for errors.

Check your MB specs and see if it can handle 4GB of RAM. What is the capacity of that Supertalent stick?

Motherboard says I can handle 8gigs, the supertalent is ddr 800 pc6400 as well as the adata pc6400 ddr2 800
I figured out that i can handle 3 gigs but when i have 3 gigs in windows vista ultimate 64 still says there is only 2gigs.
This was an upgrade by the way it was not a fresh install with all the ram. When it trys to boot up after the bios screens when it gets the windows bar my computer resets.
