I5 heat question.

Hi everybody!
I just recently put together a new build with an i5 750 from Intel. When I have the pc in idol Real Temp gives a reading of 38C 35C 38C and 34C for the four cores. Is this normal for just idol? It seems a little warm to me. Also, I ran Prime 95 for 45 minutes and my max temperatures were 56C, 54C, 55C, and 53C. Is that about normal or too hot?

Thanks,
Alex

That's fine, load is all that really matters, not idle. Well within specs.

  2. For comparison ... my son's 920 runs at about the same temps OC'd to 3.7 Ghz w/ a core voltage of 1.125
  3. Its looks that these are your stock clocks @2.66Ghz. Looks good to me.
