I just got my new system from ibuypower and the service was awesome! The computer works great, I love it. Only problem is the front sound ports do not work, the back sound ports work just fine.

Also just for reference both of the two usb 2.0 outputs right next to the sound ports(speaker and mic) work fine.

I need to get my headset to work on the front ports. And I have no idea how to fix this.

Here is the system, any tips would be apreciated.

Case ( Nzxt Lexa Blackline Gaming Tower Case w/420W Power Supply Blue )
Case Lighting ( None )
Power Supply ( 800 Watt -- Power Supply Quad SLI Ready )
Processor ( [New !!] Intel Core i7 Processor 920 (4x 2.66GHz/8MB L3 Cache) )
Processor Cooling ( Certified CPU Fan and Heatsink )
Motherboard ( MSI X58 Platinum SLI Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3, Dual Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, Dual PCI-E MB )
Memory ( 6 GB [2 GB X3] DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module Corsair Value or Major Brand )
Video Card ( NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX 512MB w/DVI + TV Out Video )

One again thanks in advance.

First up do you have the motherboard manual so see where the sound is on the motherboard?

Have you opened up the case to see if the audio cables have been connected?

Not 100% sure, as I can't find a place to download a pdf of your manual

But I think the location for the front audio is on the edge of the motherboard (bottom left) named JAUD1 in this picture

You need to confirm this in the manual, just to be sure

for some reason for my mother board you have to make sure you disable your front ports to make them work. its realy weird and stupid but oh well.
