my comp remains on almost all the time since i download a lot of stuff but since the hdd has moveable parts inside so its longevity sud b affected.so if i save all my dowloads inside the 8gb pendrive n later transfer it to my hdd will it improve my hdds longevity???

If the hard drive is on anyway then writing to it won't cause any more wear and tear. In fact a USB Flash Drive has a limited number of write cycles, so if anything you're actually better off writing directly to the hard drive.
