1366 sleep problems update?

Last response: in Motherboards

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there were any updates on the problems occurring coming out of sleep mode with some 1366 motherboards. I have the ASUS P6T deluxe V2 and have been experiencing problems coming out of sleep mode just like everyone else...seems to work once but not any times after that. I also heard it only occurs when your bclk is set to 170 or above. Right now I have my sleep mode turned off in vista, but would hopefully like to see a fix soon. Any news? Thanks!

I read changing the USB jumpers from +5 to +5VSB would give USB more juice.

Anyone know how to change the jumpers?
Is there a document on ASUS to explain I cant find one.
P6T Deluxe

Same problem. Every now and then a message about overclocking not working during boot. I moved the video card to a different slot (only card in the system.) It booted the first time. I'd power down the system, wiggle the card, and it would boot once.

The fix was to replace the power supply. I didn't test it but don't feel it was bad. No problems prior to installing the ASUS. The power supply was moved from 450 to 550. No problems since.

They did indeed release a new BIOS, but it is for the P6T Deluxe, not the P6T Deluxe V2. They seemed to have ignored the issue for the V2s. I'm not sure if it's safe to use normal deluxe BIOS on the V2, but I'm not taking the risk.

well all of the latest BIOS's from ASUS are on their website with update notes...I'd rather not risk some quirky bugs or potential OC instability by updating to a BIOS that doesn't even address the S3 issues. I've come to realize I don't really need sleep anyway...running my pc 24/7 to act as a space heater :p

they have a beta bios that addresses the issue on the P6T deluxe v2. you might want to contact ASUS for that beta bios release. And post back and let us know if it works.
