Why can't my computer get to secure site?

My computer will not let me get to https sites. Does anyone know why. I have checked settings for enabled ssl and tsl.

to say if there is an error message.

If you continually get a bad certificate error, check your date/time. Most secure sites won't have a valid cert if your clock is set to 1998 or any other date prior to the certificate being issued to the site.
