I am building another unit and need some input. It is ia gaming comp and I want speed and ability to handle almost anything trown at it...

Here is what I am thinking about the motherboard. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

ASUS Crosshair II Formula AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 780a SLI HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard -

Backing it up with the CPU as AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor

Ok rip me apart of give me some sound advice...

Thanks

Well the 780a is not worth the extra money...the SLI motherboards are not stable and have many problems...So I would not advice u to go wit that motherboard...
U can go with the AMD 790GX mobos, which are crossfire certified...they are very gud too...
ASUS M4A78-E AM2+/AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
Designed for AM3 w/ 8+1 phase power and TurboV for OC

If u still want to go for the SLI, then the best option is the core i7 + X58 mobo which has the SLI certification...other mobos are not worth the trouble...
