PCI Express 2.0 x16 and PCI Express x16

Will PCI Express 2.0 x16 fit in a PCI Express x16 Slot?

Seeing as you asked, here is the difference. In PCIe 1, each lane has 250MB of transfer space. The slot itself can also provide 75W of power. For PCIe 2, everything is doubled. (500MBs per lane, 150W of power.) They wanted to keep everything backwards compatible, so if you plug in a PCIe 1 card it won't blow up.
