Should I bother upgrading my AGP X1950

So, ive been wondering for awhile about getting a graphics card. I currently have a P4 3ghz with HT, 2gb ddr3200 I think, 500w Earthsomething Powersupply, AGP Asus Board.

Anyways right now, for my card, I have a Sapphire ATI x1950 Pro. It does me well, but I was wondering if I should bother looking for an upgrade, or will my slow CPU speed bottleneck everything and I should just work on saving up for a new board and such? If I can upgrade, what are you recommendations?

Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The only option would be a 3850 with 512 Mb RAM - that would make a notable difference. I have an X1950 Pro, a good card, though my 9600 GT is markedly better (both PCI-E). But if you can't get a good price, an upgrade might be better value, you can get a decent board and CPU fairly cheaply and add a 4850.
