Help me overclock e7200

im new to overclocking.. and i cant seem to find any setting in bios..
can anyone help me out here..
what setting should i change..
i have intel essentials dg31gl motherboard
and a intel core 2 duo e7200 processor

Next stop should be a guide for your particular motherboard. Google is your friend.

Unfortunately, I did a quick check googling "overclock dg31gl" and there doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there.

i cant find the setting in the bios..
i gotta change the fsb right?
i ve seen all the tabs and checked everywhere.. and i cant seem to find it
can they be hidden or something

Some boards aren't meant for overclocking but should be able on third party boards like msi or Asus. As for the cpu it sually tops out between 3.2ghz and 3.8ghz. Mine only got to just under 3.6ghz.

Unfortunately, many motherboards have a locked BIOS and you just cannot change and save BIOS settings.
