I am looking to upgrade my system. I know that the i7 chips are out but I think its to soon to upgrade to that. Any suggestions on what I should do?

 

Currently have:

 

P6n Diamond Msi Board
q6600 cpu @ 3.1
zalman 9600 cooler
500 gb western digital sata
8800 gts 640 mb bfg graphics card
650 watt power supply
8gb of memory

Unless your mobo is not working, I don't see any reason to replace it.

What aspect of your system's performance are you unhappy with?

^+1. Save the money for the i5 or i7 upgrade. Or if you really want to upgrade, get a 4850/4870 or a bigger HDD.

I guess I will just wait. I was thinking about getting another video card since when I eventually upgrade I can pair it with the i7 or i5. I guess I have to admit it's nothing else I can do
