Single drive raid?

Can a single physical drive with two identical partitions be set up in RAID 0, using the partitions as separate drives? Or is this a deadend street?

You can, but why? There is no performance gain. Add a 2nd primary partition to use for "My or User Documents," by changing the My Documents properties to the 2nd partition - this saves your stuff if the OS crashes and you have to reinstall it.
