I HAVE AN ASUS MOTHERBOARD MODEL P5GDE. tHE BIOS WILL ONLY ALLOW 8 AS A MAX OF USB PORTS CAN I TAKE THE 1394 AND 2 USB PORTS OF OF MOTHERDRIVE. tHE REASONI WANT TO DO THIS IS TO HAVE 1394B CONNECTIONS. ALSO I AM RUNNING WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION.

If i've understood you question, then the answer is 'no' you can't convert USB or 1394 ports to 1394A/B/C. The protocols for handling the data from USB & 1394 headers are controlled by the mobo Southbridge chip.
Just as a caution, if you plug in a Firewire device into a USB port, it may well fit on the mobo, but is likely to cause permanent damage either to the mobo's SB chip and your firewire device.
