Hi,

I've read that "Due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only."

I have a AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition and intend to buy the Corsair Twin2X 4096-8500C5D Dominator EPP.
Does this mean that I have to put one Dimm in slot 1 and one in slot 3 for better performace, or is it still faster if I put them in dual channel mode (slot1 +2)?

What the limitation means is that if you want to run DDR2-1066 (and your system otherwise supports that), you can't have 3 or 4 DIMMs installed.
The Phenom X4 should always be running in one dual channel mode or the other (ganged or unganged).
