Hello, my name is Brian and I am planning to build a mid range computer to play games like WOW and WC3. I understand that WOW and WC3 don't require a ultra powerful PC to run them, but I would like to have some nicer components to prepare for future games.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor Model BX80562Q6600 - Retail
ASUS P5QC LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5 - Retail
EVGA 9800GTX+ 512MB PCI-Express 2.0 Video Card
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Retail
Western Digital Caviar SE WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

I will still have to purchase a case, a dvd rw and a sound card.

Do you guys think this system looks good? Will it run WOW and some FPS games smoothly? Is my PSU good enough for the system?

Is there anything I can upgrade or downgrade for more bang for the buck?

Can you guys also recommend a good 19"-24" gaming monitor?

Thanks for reading my post!

First thing I would recomend is changing the Motherboard and CPU

Go with ASUS P5Q Pro with a E8400

You don't need 1066 ram, got with this instead:
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Chan

SAMSUNG 2232BW+ Black 22" 2ms Widescreen

LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe

Onboard sound is usually good enough. I would also recomend switching to a ATI GPU because the motherboard supports crossfire and not SLI.

This would be a good ATI alternative:
SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB
