Excluding the dead space results, given the frame rates are more than fine at 4 mega-pixels for either card, its very very close. Bing bang poo I say.

To jaydee:i finally DLed the CAT 8.12 beta and i will test and post the results

I used 1920x1200 for FC2 and STALKER CLEAR SKY and 1920x1080 for CRYSIS WARHEAD(strage that it doesnt have 1920x1200 option)

Well the results were good for me,i ran FC2 Benchmark tool and i got 60FPS on average,when i had CAT 8.11 i got 49FPS on average.

In STALKER CLEAR SKY and Crysis,well i played a little but i got an 3-4 FPS more,the good thing is that it increases the min FPS too,for example in STALKER when the game starts (probably the most demanding part of the game) i got 19FPS woth 8.11 min now i get 24FPS min
I am happy with the results

Yeah, I heard the minimum fps boost was probably the best result from this driver. Annands actul\ally ran other than the 5 games, and founf them a tad slower heheh, so who knows? I do know a few sites that refused to do it, and they gained my respect, and anannds doing what they did certainly looks like theyre independent in their journalistic approach anyways

ok, everything good about the game performance increase. WHAT ABOUT THE AVIVO TRANSCODER???? Any benches on that?? As far as I can tell, on my system i get nothing. CPU is at 100% and GPU is at 0% when using the avivo.
ANYONE?? ( i have a 4870@512 for anyone that can't see my profile)

Well try this review over at pcperspective, avivo transcoder is faster than nvidia's badaboom but has some image quality teething troubles by the look of it though. Is also bloody fast.

Slight performance gain for the 4870 with 8.12, but sadly, the 260 walks all over it for most of those benchmarks.
