Occasionally my computer with the ASUS P6T motherboard will just display a black screen when booting up and will require me to manually restart the computer. After that it will boot up normally and work fine. It only happens once every week or so but it is very annoying when it does. Anybody know what might be causing this?

The only real times I remember that happening to me were when I was overclocking and that would cause it to fail to boot. Although when that happened for me I would get a message saying 'Overclock Failed' after I manually restarted with a suggestion to go change settings in the BIOS.

I had this happen because the gpu plug on the back was up agaist the case so the cable did not plug in all the way. I bent the metal a little and now the cable plugs in fully and no more lost signal.
