C2D E8500 (only slightly more then E8400 and way cheaper then E8600)
DFI Lanparty JR P45-T2RS (mATX and decent chipset) - Ordered from Germany, no supplier in Denmark it seems.
Mushkin Xtreme Performance 1066 (5-5-5-15) 2x2GB - will most likely get 2x2GB more later on
Sapphire TOXIC HD 4870 512MB (runs cooler/better then most the others) sadly not 1GB but I will live.
Corsair TX650 (should power this little system well enough)
Seagate 7200.11 640GB (have two of these already and are VERY happy with them)
Scythe KATANAII SCKTN-2000 (good performance from what I could tell and one I could actually get where I live)
Antec mini P180 (mATX case)
It's for gaming but also videoediting/encoding, but mostly gaming so I picked the dual instead of a quad because they quad cost quite a bit more and I can always upgrade later on if I win the lottery or I will run with it til I get sick of it and then upgrade to whats good performance/price in a few years.
Any comments on this? I haven't posted prices since currency exchange and such
I have gone for good performance at decent prices, not bargains and not the speediest of the speedies since it usually cost an arm for little extra speed.
My old one is a E6600 4gig ram, craptastic mobo, 8800GTX, P180 case, ram got way too hot, so have an extra fan on those and generally the whole thing runs a bit too hot for my taste, especially the northbridge on the mobo and such, so to run stable it needs LOTS of airflow = noise, hope this new one will perform a little better on that department. (old PSU is "ticking" under load, so it is getting scrapped, shame cause it was a good one.
