Am trying to build a Vista system with Compac Mboard and Disks. The Mboard had no IDE connector. Had to buy a # sata 1 IDE board for PCI. Won't recognize DVD during Boot. Going to Bios, shows no CD's to boot from. When I do finally boot from HDD ( XP) CP shows disks are fine. Any help?

This might help. Your motherboard does not support IDE drives. You will need an SATA CD or DVD Burner drive. I recommend.

I'm a 60's guy and sometimes things just send me out of this world. You win the points to helping me with my board and DVD. I don't know how to get them to you, but if you write me I can. I kept forgetting to login at the Main Menu. Every time I would try to thank you, I would spend an hour with the system telling me, I can't log in. I was pissed as hell. I finally found the main login. I've got to send a complaint. I can't be alone. Thank you again.
