GIGABYTE GA-K8NS problem
I can't use Microsoft Sidewinder pro 'cause win XP installs it regularly, but
there is always the tag "Not Connected" on Control Panel so I can't use the
joystick.

I tried to connect the joystick on GAME PORT (it works fine, as win says
me), but nothing seems to happen....win install
it but it is always "Not Connected"...WHY? Can you help me?
Thanks
harry

We all have the same problem...and it's not a gigabyte issue.
It appears our expensive 'microsoft sidewinder Force feedback pro' with the gameport connector won't work under XP.
Simply buy a USB adapter? (not connected)
Choose a generic 'custom' controller in controll panel (not connected)
Try a 'gameport adapter' if your motherboard makes one (not connected)
Disable the onboard sound, install new soundcard with connector (not connected)
:pfff:
Find a bright bunch of guys who have built a converter that replaces out USB adapter? (CONNECTED) !!!
Don't get too excited, you have to buy about $30 in parts, and build it.
The device looks simple enough.
Feedback from users is positive.
[MICROSOFT SHOULD'VE MADE THIS SPECIAL ADAPTER THEMSELVES] :fou:

I'm not looking up website again,my fingers hurt. Put "microsoft sidewinder Force feedback pro" (with quotes)
in search...add the word 'converter',click ENTER.
