I'm more than due for a new rig and what better time than now with the I7 comming out. This is my first build but I've got somewhat of a grasp on how-to's for building a computer. I need a little input for this Gaming Rig so I'll follow up with some questions at the end.

I'll be using Vista 64bit.

Case:
Coolermaster HAF
$179

Power Supply:
Corsair 1000w
$240
or
Corsair 750w
How much juice is my rig going to need?

Motherboard:
ASUS P6T Deluxe
$300

Processor:
I7 920
$280?

Ram:
Corsair Tripple Channel

Hard Drive:
WD Raptor 150g *Subject to change due to price restrictions and that fact that it's too small and I don't want to go to 300gig because of price.
$180

Video Card:
I'm not sure, this is where I need most of my input. I play on my HDTV, 32'' Vizio 720p so 1366x768 which tells me that I don't need something like a 4780x2 but it's hard to hold back...I mean that's why we're all here.

What do you suggest?
4870 512mb
4870 1gig
GTX 280

Questions:

My TV has a VGA connector so I use a DVI cable with AGP adaptor. Will I notice a difference If I were playing on my new rig If I were to use the S-Video to Component adaptor or HDMI?

If you suggested a Video Card, which brand do you recommend?

Which site do you recommend I purchase from? I'm from New York so hopefully one that dosen't charge me sales tax. =P

If you don't recommend the Power Supply I've chosen, which do you recommend? I'm not looking for anything over $250.

Any other input is welcome! Thanks in advance!

Edited: Added a second PSU choice.

Questions:
1) im not exactly experienced with different connections so wait for someone else's response with this.

2) for brands...EVGA for Nvidia cards and Visiontek for ATI based on warranty (lifetime) and good support. For the ATI's though id look into other companies like Sapphire etc that offer aftermarket cooling solutions.

3) Site Newegg.com all the way. Ive purchased 4 builds from them and no DOA's. Come max in 3 days from California and 2 from NJ. No tax, usually free shipping and great support.

4) DONT CHANGE THAT PSU. Its a great choice

Otherwise the build looks great. +1 if thats what u want.

Id personally go with 4870 512 MB. U dont have a very high res tv like monitors are so in that case I like the Price/Performance better than the GTX 280 and if u want to go dual cards to CF they scale very well

Edit: I looked at some of the "i7 ram" for triple channel and a secondary choice is to go with the Non Dominator Corsair for 6 gigs. It will benefit from the 64 bit and is only $50 more. U dont get as high clocks but more of what rly counts.
