HD4850 vs 9800GTX+

hey guys, i still havent decided which card is the best for my new rig, both these cards are almost the same price where i live so, any input on which one's the best will be appreciated

The 9800GTX+ is slightly better than the HD4850.
What is your motherboard and power supply?

9800gtx+ considering its more stable on the driver department.

you're lucky they're priced the same. cause where i came from even the old 9800gtx outprices the 4850 by almost 60$ (converted). so i chose the 4850.

Where are you that the prices are close? Here in the US, the 4870 is closer to the price of a 9800GTX+ than the cheaper 4850's.. In which case the 9800 is far from a steal

I ordered a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R mobo + a Corsair TX-650W PSU.

Im in Portugal, next to Spain
well, a HD4870 here costs around 250€, 4850's and 9800gtx's around 170-180€.
I just ordered the 9800gtx+ btw, it just has better drivers, and doesnt heat up too much.. as i've been told the HD4850's have cooling issues :x
