I have a K9N2 platinum mobo. Its using a stock circu-pipe heatsink. The temp were normal a few days after i built the pc, around 30C, then recently the temp skyrocketed to 110C, even going higher than 120C.What can be the problem?

Also, I ordered a new heatsink with fan from newegg earlier today, but I want to figure out what the problem is with the current one.

If so, how do I re-attach it? The sink appears to be fixed into place, and I have no way of safely removing it.If I try to remove it I could damage the mobo.

what should i do?

Don't turn on your computer until you fix the problem. You could get irreversible damage to your chipset.

If you don't know how to fix it, go to your prefer store ASAP.

the stores charge $150.For that price, I may as well get a new mobo_Or return my current one for a replacement.
Also, I am talking about the NB chipset

I decided to send the mobo back to newegg for a replacement.Luckily I had bought it within the last 30 days, and now that Iook at reviews, it seems the k9n2 series has alot of defective ones.
