Yah ok so i built a new rig the order day. core i7 920 rampage II extreme, 2 GTX 295. Everything went fine. SO i booted up put the velocis in raid
0 install windows everything good temps good ect. Im using a V8 CM cooler btw. ok so i go to overclock and the the cpu is idling at like 52 once i put the side on and 82 underload. overclocked to 3.4 its lik 60 idle 97 load :/ i applid the paste right a blog and then spread it out thinly and evenly the v8 is on perfewctly i tried to see if there was anything wrong with the seating buts its perfectly placed and tight. aswell the nor bridge and south b are running like 58 and 65???? wtf is happening. HW Monitor and Bios Temps BTW

Try coretemp and Realtempto determin the CPU core temps,
u should see adifference in temps with those, as it reads the cores temperatures instead of the IHF temps.

as for the north and southbridge temps, check the current voltage in the BIOS,and also think about buyin a couple of small fans to place on the cooling plates.
