Portable Hard

My PC get sucks when i connect the Porable Hard its not detecting, i install the WinXP again and also its not detecting but it was detect by other computers. but USB drives are detecting.

Do you have a power adapter for the USB HDD? Also are you connecting it directly to the board or to a USB hub?
