Cost of 2002 version windows home edition computer

i would like to know what the computer's worth is i am on now !! I am thinking of buying it from a friend and was told is only worth about $50.00 ? was asked to pay $170.00 ? it is microsoft windows XP home edition version 2002 # 76477-oem -0061815-49512 AND Tower mfg. by cyber power inc. amd athlon tm 64 processor - 3000+1.81-ghz 1.00 GB of ram so an you help me with answer ? thankyou very much !!! That PC is not worth 170. With a drive 200 gig or so, would be maybe 100, a smaller drive, $20 less. $70-80 would be a fair price for it.

Check craigslist or ebay for pricing. Although many people there way overprice their stuff. You can buy a new PC 5 times faster than the one you are getting for $300. Or a used dual core for under $200.
