Well ive been looking on the web the past couple of days, reading up about gaming computers, and computer parts in general, i decided to come up with a check list of what i need, so here's what i have so far.

So thats my list so far, still looking for other stuff, any sugjestions would be appreciated. Ive only saved up $200 so far, so still got a long way to go.
 
A Q9550 is faster than a Q9450 and $10 less. Besides, the Q9450 is not in stock and probably will never be in stock again.
Or you could get a Q6600 or E8500 because it's cheaper.

I don't get it, TBH. You can't afford to buy a decent graphics card, but you're looking at spending $130 for mouse and keyboard. You can easily cut those back to $30 total.

look into a saitek eclipse keyboard if you want a blue backlight keyboard that isn't so expensive.

Also, +1 for q9550.

Finally, pawn that 9600 and get something like an HD4850.
