Hi, I'm looking for an SLI board supporting the i7 Architecture but I'm also looking at running a PCIe 8x capable RAID controller (e.g. Adaptec 5405).
My question is as follows. With the P6T6 tri 16x architecture, will I be able to run two cards in SLI @ x16 and the RAID controller at x8 PCIe speed? If Yes, which slots does each need to go?
I want to make sure that before I jump the gun on this board it can handle these requirements and not run at 16/8/8.
The manual from ASUS states to run two SLI boards in slot 1 and slot 5 for optimal performance and not to use anything in slot 2/4.
