The mainboard in my computer is a MSI KM400 series, KM4M-L board, the processor in it is a new AMD Athlon XP 3000+ CPU.

When I look at the System Properties on my computer it says:

AMD Athlon (tm)
1.73GHz, 1.46 GB of RAM.

I know that System Properties should read:

AMD Athlon(tm) 3000+
3.0GHz, 1.46 GB of RAM

So, how do I go about setting everything right so that my mainboard sees the processors speed right?
Also, thanks for any and all replies.

You could go into the bios and set the FSB to 200 instead of 166 that should speed it up but the XP 3000+ Barton only runs at 2162 GHz not 3

Well, I know I made the mistake on what it should read, which should be:

AMD Athlon(tm) 3000+
1.73GHz, 1.46GB of RAM

Problem that is going on is I'm not sure how to get my Barton Core processor to run at its right FSB 333 or so.

Any suggestions?
