I think a single GTX280 could manage that, but I'd need to check with someone who has one. If you play in DX9 with the "hacked" very high it is definitely possible.

Well you really shouldnt need 8xAA at that res and secondly 40+ 50+ wont really make a differance, unless you are really sensative to these very small quality/framerate issues. Personally i could tell the differance if i was looking but it wouldnt detract from the gameplay. Anyway you are looking at top end hardware to get even close to what you are looking for, as said 4870X2 or 280 and then if either of those dont cut it then get a second and run dual cards.

Mactronix

I know my 4870x2 pulls that one off. I can even pull 4xAA at 1680x1050 with an average of 25-30fps (very high). GTX 280 would probably do it as well.

Not going to do it. I can play at that res sometimes with 2AA ( ?? ) sometimes no AA with a GTX260. Couldn't tell you what the frame rates are though. Game is a beast on graphics. Maybe in 2 years we'll finally see a card that can handle the graphics and the bad coding all at max settings......... I turn blue and pass out while holding my breath. 2 4870's in Xfire can play the game smooth....even the final scene but 1 4870 tanks so I assume 2 GTX260's can too. A fast processor helps here also....3.4+ core2 or quad

Really? Even the final scene? My 24" monitor came in when I was halfway through the game, so I finished it on 1920x1200, but at 1920x1200, all very high, no AA, my 4870x2 pulled about 30-35fps through most of the game, but in the final scenes, it dropped all the way down to 10-12fps in a couple spots (just in the cutscenes though - not in the gameplay).

Oh, and agreed about the fast CPU. I have a 3.73 GHz i7.

Well my HD 4870X2 manages to run CRYSIS Warhead at 1920x1200 with 30-50 FPS solid with 0xAA with ULTRA HIGH quality(its possible with a config) cuz 1920x1200 doesnt have a noticeable jaggies i use 0xAA.
