I understand now, but it makes little sense. There is an unexplained -$49.99 savings for the combo, but they charge me another $49.99 for the game. The combo price is supposed to be $390, not $340 so it actually works out in some weird demented way.

Well there is a lot of combo deals in your order. I just ordered an xbox360 and they discounted its 9.99 and then threw in a 9.99 game. So it usually works out in the end. I have spent over 5000 at newegg in the last 7 years, they have always treated me with respect and been more than fair on any type of mess up, mine or theirs.

Yea between my 3 past orders recently from newegg with "free" things, it comes up as a price and then have a discount where the combo is. So they charge the $50 and then take $50 in saving like u see

They Charged you for the Game so they have a way to account for it in their inventory then discounted the same amount back to you. (Free)
It also gives them record for re-embursment from the manufacture or accounting of products provided as an incentive being properly dispersed and not just given away.
There are also Advertising write-offs.
It might seem silly but it is for a good purpose. The all (use to be) mighty buck.

Some of the best boards I have ever used were by MSI, the worst is tied between ECS and Asus. The MSI P45 series was the best P45 series in my opinion. The MSI 750i was the only one worth buying and the MSI Eclipse X58 is one of the best performing X58 boards according to a few reviews that I have read. The only bad thing I have to say about MSI is that their color coding is pretty bad, but I can easily manage by now.

Something wrong with that MSI 8800 GT? I ordered one for a build and found the great price and great aftermarket cooling to be great and it overclocked really well. Again I am a bit new to computers, though I am extremely experienced with newer tech (Athlon/P4 days and up), so I may not know of any problems MSI has had in the past.

Are you fu**ing high? The prices at best buy suck hairy nasty unwashed man ass compared to newegg.

Anyway,
I noticed the same thing with a 4870 1GB card, they had a free copy of stalker clear sky thrown in but listed its retail value as 59.99 when it actually retails on their site and everywhere else for 19.99.

I think their basing the value off of the original msrp.
