Striker Extreme Help

Hi,

i have a Striker Exreme and when i booted my pc this morning the LAN connection wouldnt work
i checked the LCD poster and no error, also there are no activity lights on the port
i plugged my network cable into LAN 2 and it works fine
when i have the ethernet cable connected to LAN 1 the light on the router is on but it says cable disconnected#iv tried disabling and re-enabling the port and also reinstalled the LAN drivers and still no go

the last progs i ran before switching it off last nightwere 3dmark06 and disk defrag but dont think these are the issue

could my LAN port be faulty? im stuck

my os is Vista x64 Ultimate

Go into the network and Sharing Center and make sure Network discovery is turn on.

have tried that, can see its on on LAN 2 but there are no options for LAN 1 as all it keeps saying is "Network Cable Unplugged", the lights do not come on the port when the cable is connected, i have noticed the LAN port on the router doesn't come on now when the LAN 1 of the motherboard is connected
