I have a DFI JR 790GX-M2RS(AMD 790GX/Radeon HD3300) with LG L246WP(1920x1200 native), using DVI or HDMI connection. OS is Vista SP1 x86

After install the catalyst driver(ver 8.11 or 8.7), the screen pricture is not centered. For all resolutions from 800x600 to 1920x1200, the desktop area shifted to the upper-left of the monitor. For example, when using 1920x1200 native resolution, about 1/4 of the left and top of the desktop area can not be shown on the monitor. 1:1 pixel mapping and scale on monitor show same result.

I tried both DVI and HDMI connection and has same situation. And I can not adjust the postion on the monitor because using DVI or HDMI connection.

Before install the catalyst driver, the desktop area can be properly centered up to 1600x1200.

Anyone has same problem?

How can I adjust the postion of the screen?

most monitors ive seen have an auto adjust feature somewhere in the osd

in catalyst there may be something to adjust the screen

or just try a different res

Auto adjust only can be used for VGA connection, not for DVI connection, on most LCD monitor if not all.

I am unable to find the position adjust in catalyst 8.7~8.12

All resolutions from 800x600 has been tried.

Looks like it is also a monitor problem. I hooked up to a Dell 2408WFP, and everything is fine.
But the LG 246WP has no problem to work with 8800GTS on another desktop.
