Need help overclocking processor plz!!!!!!!!!!!

To get 3ghz just go into bios and change FSB to 286 and keep your multiplier at 10.5 you wont have to change anything else to be stable at 3ghz. If you want to go higher please read the guide.

Ahh you forgot to mention it was an HP compaq board there wont be anything in the bios to overclock your cpu they lock that stuff out so you dont ruin the machine. Your only hope is to maybe try using a utility called setfsb but dont expect much because you wont be able to change your voltage. But it looks like it might not work with the G31 chipset but its worth a shot.

i overclocked my cpu with setfsb, but do i have to run the program everytime i boot the pc???
