System disk for Toshiba Satelitte 2510CDS

can anyone help me,,, I am trying to fix and old toshiba for a little friend of mine,, and the laptop.. let me reformat however,,, i do not have a system disk for it.... i have been lookin everywheres for one, and am at a loss...

You could simply try a retail copy of Windows, or a Linux CD... its hard to find that unique sysytem disk...

Are you running into a specific problem, such as missing drivers? I'd say give the OS CD a shot (XP, Linux, whatever you've got), and see what happens. If you're missing drivers, the manufacturer's website is probably the first place to check. If that doesn't work, next try a web search for your specific missing component drivers (someone else has probably had the same problem). You might be able to use a generic driver for a similar chipset. Beyond that, there's always searching out the system CD; I have to agree with amdfangirl in that you probably wont have much luck with that. Always worth a shot though; if you find a good source for those system discs share it!

Wait, try Toshy's site for drivers if that's what your after... I thoughtz he meant the OS installation CD.
