I'm knew to putting on a heatsink/cooler. When I put on the thermal compound I put it on the CPU AND the heatsink/cooler? Or just the CPU?

Thanks. I just need to know so I don't end up raising my temps instead of lowering them.

Yea, I'm new too, just about to install my first CPU.
No you only put thermal compund on one (heatsink or CPU). It doesnt matter which one. I will put mine on the cpu though.

Make sure its clean!

Ah thanks, I just been wondering about this. I'll put it on the CPU when I get my new cooler!
