F missing

my system crashed i used widows xp but it was for ibm and i have a dell after that everything came back right its just i little window i ran ckdsk it said f was missing

Restart and look carefully at the black screen for instructions on which Function key to press how to use Dell's Recovery Partition. If you're really lucky, you might get a system going but without all your personal files and any programmes you bought after installing the first time.

If you're out of luck, you need to buy another copy of XP or use a free Linux Operating System instead.
