Won't boot after memory upgrade on L933r

Added memory to old Dell L933r computer and now it won't boot. Both 256 Mb "sticks" work fine alone, but not paired. Must "toggle" power switch to get computer to boot. Have all ready upgraded bios to A14. Computer shows max 512Mb after boot. Any ideas out there?

Did you make sure they were in the right slots? Also, on occasion you will have issues if mixing two types of ram. Nothing else, try running Memtest86 which you can download at http://www.memtest86.com/download.html. You have to burn it to a bootable CD and boot the CD, it will test the ram to see if there are any errors.
