Is this a bad time to buy current high-end graphics cards (like the GTX 200 series)? I've read some things that say a price drop is coming soon and newer cards are coming out soon which will drive the price down.

Just before Christmas, is probably not the best time to buy if you can defer your purchace until January.

well its always a bad time when it comes to technology, because new things will come out everyday lol. but after Christmas is good to buy, because they problably will put some specials
