How much ram can my motherboard take?

I'm waiting to upgrade my RAM but I have no idea how to check or how much I can put in. Thanks for the help in advance.

Welcome to the forums!

If you have a 32-bit system, do not go over 4GB.
Rest is useless in a 32-bit system.

hi peoples i am running XP 64-bit and well i have a Asrock AM3 N68-S from there site it says it can take up to 8gig the company i brought my pc from says it can only take up to 4 any way of finding out as it my be different from site as its USA and i'm in UK
