I just received all of my hardware to build my first pc and much to my surprise my motherboard box says that 1066 only works with AM2+. I have already bought 2 sticks of 2GB each and I was wondering if this will still work(CPU AMD 6000+) or do I have to change either my CPU or ram?

Any help would be great.

Yes your new memory will work on your new platform, but you will only be able to achieve 8OOMHz. Which doesn't hurt a thing and it should give you a little more headroom if you decide to overclock.
