Ok guys its getting around christmas time and I am thinking about upgrading my rig to last me for 2009s games. Here is my current rig:

coolermaster stacker 830 w 7 silverstone fans (i like it cool)
Pcpc 750 watt ps
intel 6750 @ 3.2 w tuniq tower 120
gigabyte p35 ds3r motherboard
nvidia 9800gtx
4gb viper ram
500gb samsung hdd
windows xp

Ok so i game at 1680 x 1050 and i love to max out all the settings with at least 4xaa and 16xaf. Now to keep thiese settings I am thinking about buying an asus p5nd sli motherboard and buying another 9800gtx which comes out around 350-400. I will also be upgrading to vista 64bit plus adding 2 more gb of patriot ram that i have sitting around. So what do you guys think? Should I go ahead and purchase the new motherboard and 9800gtx or should I sell the card and buy something like a 280gtx/4850x2 which would cost about the same? I am worried about the memory not being compatible with the new motherboard and the 750watts not being enough to power both 9800gtxs. So I am just looking for some quick advice. Thanks guys.

Why not get a 280gtx and not waste your money on a new mobo when the new intel socket is around the corner. if you can spare the money get a factory overclock then you will be set for 2009 gaming

Sell the card and get a single 4870X2. That will give you a 3-tier jump on Cleeve's chart (or buy one GTX280 for a 2-tier jump). According to some remarks he made in the discussion following the last Best Graphics Cards article, SLI on average will only provide a 1-tier jump.
