Having a problem with deciding what to do.

I bought a XFX9800gt+ and I have a PSU made by Cooler master that outputs 380W. Should and/or can I run it with that without problems?
The rest of my computer looks like this:
MB: Gigabyte g8knrfh (or smthing like that)
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000+
RAM: 2x1GB and 2x512MB DDR PC400
1 DVDRW drive and 1 Sata HDD

All the calculators tell me that it will be enough and forums that I read as well but on the box it says that the minimum PSU for it is 450W :S Therefore the dilemma.

Well the 380W would certainly be enuf if it has enuf power on the 12V rail...
jus find the power supply in the cooler master website and post the link...so we can get to knw more abt it...

In my opinion you are lacking in power if thats your PSU. The 9800GT+ is a bit of a hog and the Coolermaster does not look upto it. A better brand with a bit more advertised wattage would be safer.

Tho it isn't modular :S Dunno why people wrote that
It puts out 16amps on 12v rail. Is that enough? :S

Nay.
If you go by recommended its 26A. They tend to be higher than required to take account of generic PSU's but remember the same rail needs to power other components as well.

Got a budget for a new one?

It is a brand PSU so it has protection, you should try running your 9800 (which is the same with 8800GT and it is not very power hungry) with it and do some heavy benchmarks. If the PSU can't stand the power it will just turn off nothing with break.
