I currently own:
E8400 (stock clocks - I don't like overclocking)
EVGA 260 GTX (192 core version) (w/ nine days left on Step-Up program)
Non-SLI/Crossfire motherboard
1280 x 1024 monitor (soon to be 1680 x 1050)
PC Power and Cooling 610W PSU
+3.3@24A,+5V@30A,+12V@49A,-12V@0.8A,+5VSB@3.0A
2 x 6 Pin
For Christmas I will be getting a new monitor (see above). I am pumped about this, but am trying to brace myself for the slight performance decrease. Like many, while I care about frames per second, I like my games to look good. In light of this, should I get a new card? Should I step-up? Perhaps I should sell my current graphics card, soon to be old monitor and a few old games in order to buy an all new card? Is there something else I am not considering? Also, while money is not a big problem, if I do something, I at least want to somewhat reasonable. Perhaps it is best to stay put...?
