The manual talks about the option to gang my 4 sticks of 2GB 1066 DDR2. But BIOS doesn't have any place to address this.

Perhaps they've decided to no longer allow this option. Everyone seems to agree that ganged is faster. No?

Any idea why this option might have been deleted?

Wouldn't that be a function of the CPU?

That can be considered part of the question, I guess.

Most now agree that unganged is faster and more flexible. That's why the option to choose was removed from the BIOS as too confusing.

There has been a BIOS update. (03/17/09)
Now there is an option Ganged or Unganged.

Even the BIOS sidebar info suggests that Unganged is better...

Thanks a lot, gentlemen!!
