They are both the same but i just some feedback on which would be the better buy and performance. The HIS is $190 after rebate and the SAPPHIRE is $180. Not much difference but this will be a card that is going to last me till its out of date. so just give me your ideas
really up to you, only difference is the cooler. i like the aftermarket on the sapphire, except that it does not exhaust any heat out the back, which could be a problem.
I own a Sapphire 4870 but mine has a different cooler on it. Performes great, Overall a great card and Sapphire seems to make quality products, also HIS makes nice products too.
Since both of those are out of stock at Newegg, I figure I'll ask:
Is the MSI R4870 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127397) an OK option?
- Does their cooling setup look OK? This will be in an Antec Nine Hundred, so I think the case should provide ample airflow.
- Should I be at all concerned about them OCing it to 780 MHz? Will this have any effect on my OCing options in the future?
