Need a new fast hard drive with decent amount of storage

hey guys i tried to ask for a hard drive last time but no one answered and so i will repeat this again
need a fast hard drive as my is slow and filled suggestions? (i know SSD is better but they are expensive and i need like 500g or higher at least)

you have to give your storage space requirement when you need speed or you have to spend more money..

better go with VelociRaptor 150GB for OS drive & get normal 7200 rpm drives for storage..

If you do not want to spend that much and are just looking for a good 7200rpm drive then the Samsung Spinpoint F3, Western Digital Cavier Black series or Seagate 7200.12 series are all good choices with the Spinpoint probably having the best "bang for your buck" right now. Stick with 500gb, 1TB, 1.5TB or 2 TB models as they all have 500GB platters and are the fastest. The denser the platter the faster the drive.

The Samsing Spinpoints and WD Blacks are as fast if not faster the the Velociraptors. The Velociraptors are old technology beaten by the higher platter density of the new drives. No point to them anymore and they are on their way out.
