the problem is that i got a new hard drive its a samsung 500gb

at first i plug it in and it makes this clicking noise and this is my second time and this is the replacement so i go to a friends house and it works perfectly there but still makes noises on my computer and trying to isolate the problem, i turn off my desktop and disconnect the sata cable wait a few secs and connect it and it makes no noises and is found on bios so its definitely not the hdd but anyone know what is?
